Eating around your training is vital to your progress. Our body needs different things at different stages of exercise to maximise results and ensure speedy recovery. Over the coming week Wellnation student practitioners will share their recommendations for optimising your workout in a three-part series.
When it comes to exercise most of us generally fall into three categories:
- You exercise regularly and you have decided to up the ante to get results or improve performance
- You used to be really active and then life happened, so it has been a while since your body has done anything regularly other then getting out of bed each morning
- You have spent most of your time avoiding exercise but in a moment of light-headedness decided that you really needed to get your health and fitness on track
Regardless which category you fall into it is important that you provide your body with the nutrients, minerals and fuel it needs to respond to your exercise regime in the best possible way. You have made the first big step which is your commitment to making positive change and now all you need to do is equip your body to make the process as smooth and rewarding as possible.
The thing is, you would probably get results by increasing or starting exercise and the health benefits will still be there. But if you are going to make the effort you may as well get the most out of it!
Our three part series will introduce natural food based and supplement based options for pre-workout, during and post-workout regimes to tailor individual needs and preferences – helping you to achieve the results that you want. Stay tuned for part 1 soon.
